Toyota Camry (XV70): Inspection
INSPECTION
PROCEDURE
1. INSPECT FUEL PRESSURE SENSOR (FUEL DELIVERY PIPE WITH SENSOR ASSEMBLY LH)
NOTICE:
- Do not remove the fuel pressure sensor from the fuel delivery pipe with sensor assembly LH.
- If the fuel pressure sensor is removed, replace the fuel pressure sensor (fuel delivery pipe with sensor assembly LH) with a new one.
(a) Check the fuel pressure sensor output voltage.
| (1) Apply 5 V between terminals 1 (VC) and 2 (E2).
NOTICE:
- Be careful when connecting the leads as the fuel pressure sensor may be damaged if the leads are connected to the wrong terminals.
- Do not apply more than 6 V to terminals 1 (VC) or 2 (E2).
HINT: If a stable power supply is not available, connect 4 nickel-metal hydride batteries (1.2 V each) or equivalent in series. |

DISPOSAL PROCEDURE 1. DISPOSE OF REAR SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY
CAUTION:
Always use a cloth to prevent shards of metal flying about due to the release of pressurized gas.
Always wear safety glasses.
HINT: The gas is colorless, odorless and non-poisonous.

DESCRIPTION Troubleshooting for when ABS operates too soon due to a noisy signal from the speed sensor, a difference in output, etc. CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT
NOTICE:
After replacing or removing and installing a speed sensor, perform Dealer Mode (Signal Check) inspection to confirm that the spee
