Toyota Camry (XV70): Operation Check

OPERATION CHECK

CHECK SERVICE POSITION CONTROL

(a) Turn the ignition switch off.

(b) Within approximately 45 seconds of turning the ignition switch off, hold the windshield wiper switch assembly in the MIST position for 2 seconds and confirm that the wipers move to the uppermost position.

CHECK VEHICLE SPEED SENSING TYPE ADJUSTABLE INTERMITTENT WIPER CONTROL

(a) Turn the ignition switch to ON.

(b) Move the windshield wiper switch assembly to the INT position.

(c) Check that the intermittent operation interval changes from approximately 1.5 to 11 seconds according to the vehicle speed and the position of the intermittent time adjustment switch of the windshield wiper switch assembly.

CHECK INTERMITTENT CONTROL FUNCTION

(a) Turn the ignition switch to ON.

(b) Move the windshield wiper switch assembly to the INT position.

(c) Check that the intermittent operation interval can be adjusted from approximately 4 to 12.5 seconds by operating the intermittent time adjustment switch.

WASHER OPERATION INSPECTION

(a) Turn the ignition switch to ON.

(b) Washer operation inspection:

Operate the washer switch for approximately 0.5 seconds or more and confirm that the front wipers operate in the LO setting when the washer fluid is sprayed and that the front wipers cycle 3 times after releasing the washer switch.

(c) Drip prevention wiper function:

At a vehicle speed of approximately less than 5 km/h (3 mph), check that the front wipers operate for 1 cycle approximately 3 seconds after washer cooperation completes.

LEVEL WARNING OPERATION INSPECTION

(a) When the volume of washer fluid decreases to below a certain level (when the level warning switch is turned on), the multi-information display warns the driver by displaying a message.
