Toyota Camry (XV70): Air Vent cannot be Switched

DESCRIPTION

If the air outlet mode does not change even though the air outlet display changes, the following suspected areas may be the cause.

  • No. 1 air conditioning radiator damper servo sub-assembly malfunction
  • Damper link disconnection
  • Air conditioner unit assembly

PROCEDURE

1.

CHECK NO. 1 AIR CONDITIONING RADIATOR DAMPER SERVO SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Check that the No. 1 air conditioning radiator damper servo sub-assembly is installed correctly.

OK:

The No. 1 air conditioning radiator damper servo sub-assembly is installed correctly.

NG

INSTALL NO. 1 AIR CONDITIONING RADIATOR DAMPER SERVO SUB-ASSEMBLY CORRECTLY

OK

2.

CHECK FOR DTC

(a) Check for DTCs.

Body Electrical > Air Conditioner > Trouble Codes

OK:

DTC B1443 is not output.

OK

REPLACE AIR CONDITIONING RADIATOR ASSEMBLY

NG

GO TO DTC B1443
