Toyota Camry (XV70): Freeze Frame Data

FREEZE FRAME DATA

FREEZE FRAME DATA

NOTICE:

  • It is difficult to show the specified values (judgment values) clearly because freeze frame data values change significantly due to differences in measurement conditions, surroundings, or vehicle conditions. For this reason, there may be a problem even when the values are within specification.
  • Turn the ignition switch to ON and park the vehicle on level ground. Check the freeze frame data by using the Techstream.

(a) Turn the ignition switch off.

(b) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(c) Turn the ignition switch to ON.

(d) Turn the Techstream on.

(e) Check the freeze frame data on the Techstream.

DESCRIPTION In the VVT (Variable Valve Timing) system, the appropriate exhaust valve open and close timing is controlled by the ECM. The ECM performs exhaust valve control by performing the following: 1) controlling the exhaust camshaft cam timing oil control solenoid assembly, camshaft timing gear

     Reassembly

REASSEMBLY PROCEDURE 1. INSTALL SOLENOID (SL) VALVE (a) Coat the solenoid (SL) valve with Toyota Genuine ATF WS. (b) Install the solenoid (SL) valve to the transmission valve body assembly with the bolt. Torque: 7.0 N
