Toyota Camry (XV70): Inspection

INSPECTION

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR OPENING SWITCH ASSEMBLY

(a) Check the switch.

(1) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

Specified Condition

2 - 5

Pressed (ON)

Below 25 Ω

2 - 5

Not pressed (OFF)

1 MΩ or higher

If the result is not as specified, replace the luggage compartment door opening switch assembly.

(Luggage Compartment Door Opening Switch Assembly)

(b) Check the switch illumination.

(1) Apply battery voltage to the switch connector and check that the luggage compartment door opening switch assembly illuminates.

OK:

Battery Connection

Specified Condition

Battery positive (+) → Terminal 6

Battery negative (-) → Terminal 1

Illumination illuminates

If the result is not as specified, replace the luggage compartment door opening switch assembly.
