INSPECTION PROCEDURE 1. INSPECT LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR OPENING SWITCH ASSEMBLY
(a) Check the switch. (1) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Disassembly
DISASSEMBLY PROCEDURE 1. REMOVE MAGNET STARTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the nut and disconnect the field coil lead wire from the magnet starter switch assembly.
(b) While holding the magnet starter switch assembly to the repair service starter kit, remove the 2 nuts.
Adjustment
ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURE 1. STEERING WHEEL OFF CENTER ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURE
(a) Inspect steering wheel off center. (1) Turn the steering wheel assembly to the center position.
(2) Apply masking tape to the top center of the steering wheel assembly and upper steering column cover.
