Toyota Camry (XV70): Touch Panel Switch does not Function

NOTICE:
- Depending on the parts that are replaced during vehicle inspection or maintenance, performing initialization, registration or calibration may be needed. Refer to Precaution for Navigation System.

- When replacing the radio and display receiver assembly, always replace it with a new one. If a radio and display receiver assembly which was installed to another vehicle is used, the following may occur:
- A communication malfunction DTC may be stored.
- The radio and display receiver assembly may not operate normally.
PROCEDURE
(a) Check if there is any foreign matter caught between the display and exterior frame of the multi-display.
OK:
No foreign matter is caught between the display and exterior frame of the multi-display.
HINT:
- If there is foreign matter between the display and exterior frame of the multi-display, the touch panel will remain pressed, preventing touch switch operation.
- Turn the engine switch on (ACC) or on (IG) with your hand touching the operating section, non-response may occur.

(a) Install the connecting rod cap. Click here
(b) Using a dial indicator, measure the thrust clearance while moving the connecting rod back and forth.
Standard Thrust Clearance: 0.15 to 0.40 mm (0.00591 to 0.0157 in.)
DESCRIPTION This DTC is stored when an open circuit or short occurs in the communication line between the front corner ultrasonic sensor RH and the clearance warning ECU, or when a malfunction occurs in the front corner ultrasonic sensor RH.
