ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION
PROCEDURE
1. INSPECT PARKING BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY
(a) With the ignition switch ON and the wheels not contacting the ground, operate the electric parking brake switch assembly to check the condition of the rear wheels when the electric parking brake is operating and not operating.
OK:

Lock | Rear wheels cannot be rotated |

Release | Rear wheels can be rotated |
(b) Pull the electric parking brake switch assembly to the lock side for approximately 1 second and check that the parking brake indicator light (red) turns on.
(c) Push the electric parking brake switch assembly to the release side for approximately 1 second and check that the parking brake indicator light (red) turns off.
(d) At this time, check that the brake warning light / yellow (minor malfunction) does not turn on.
